I don't have any of these tubes and haven't seen a reason I would need them on a Backwoods. If you were going to use one you would have to use it on the top shelf to get the proper flow of smoke over the meat. I would be concerned about ash getting on the food as it burns the wood pellets in it.
For a Backwoods I don't think it would be worth the effort when you already have one of the best smokers built.
